“Here Comes the Sun . . .

The last few months in Juneau has been foggy and rainy. or is overcast most of the time.

When the sun does decide to make an appearance, I feel almost like a vampire. The sun hurts my eyes and I can barely see without sunglasses. Good thing spring is around the corner, yeah!

Winter Solstice has passed and we are now over the hump. The transition to more sunshine is becoming less painful and more enjoyable.

When I drive home from work, the sun is still shining on the snowy mountains and it is beautiful. It is nice to be able to see the beauty before the sun goes down. Especially since I am stuck in my office all day. Every day it is getting sunnier.

Soon there will be 18 hours of sunlight and I will have completely adjusted just in time for it to become dark and dreary again. In the meantime, I will enjoy the increasing daylight leading up to the endless days of sunshine the summer will have offer!
